Jankovic, Safina Pull Out Of Birmingham

Jelena Jankovic and Dinara Safina pulled ouf of the upcoming DFS Classic. Jankovic cited the same arm injury that gave her problems during the French Open while Safina pulled out with a bad back.

Jankovic and Safina join Maria Sharapova in withdrawing from the Wimbledon warmup. Jankovic beat Sharapova in last year’s final.

    Re. today’s loss to unknown Chinese player at Wimb. Like Ana Ivanovic, Jelena needs to shake her “slavic” thing or she will never be a true champion. Her mood changes and inability to play a steady solid game all the time, comes from her “Serbian” thing. That is what all Slavic players have and none has become a true champ like say Nadal or Wlliams sisters are.
    So Jelena it is up to you to chage or just play for money and fun. Don’t behave as you do for it is very hard to watch you. I will not any longer.
